OUR
STORY

My name is Papi and I am an Abyssinian cat. I used to live with my 11 brothers and sisters. I love my caregivers so much and feel content when I see their smiles and getting hugs from them every day. However, I started feeling unwell but I didn't want my parents to worry. At the same time, as a cat, I naturally have a high pain tolerance, so I decided not to show any symptoms in front of them. I covered it up very well, and because other siblings distracted them, my caregivers did not notice my physical condition.

Until it was discovered, I was already in stage 3 chronic kidney disease. After that, my previous caregivers disappeared. But during my hospital stay, two lovely ladies who claimed to be my mother often came to take care of me, and then brought me home. Although the medicine is difficult to take and the injection are painful, I can feel that they love me so much. Because of CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease), my behavior has changed and make their bedroom dirty, but they do not blame me. I asked them; will I get better in the future? Mom would just say, "Everything will be just fine, they will take care of me for the rest of my life no matter what."

One day, one of the mothers said that CKD is actually one of the top ten causes of death in our cat population. It is often difficult to detect in the early stages and the treatment costs and care required for cats with this disease are doubled. Taking care of me, they feel the same. My mum said, I am like a tree planted in their hearts, the roots like blood vessels, spreading to every corner of the heart. They thought that if one day this tree was shaken by disease, it would be a pain that tears at the heart. So that she hopes to be able to do her best to help cats with the same illness in the fight against pain, and also hopes that more cat owners will understand and pay attention to their cats' physical condition.

Therefore, she used my name to make a brand, and promised that for every item sold, 50 cents would be used to help cats with CKD. Now you know why the packaging is full of my portrait. Hahaha, Anyway, I’m lucky to meet them, and I also hope this luck can bring to my peers.
